We welcomed Kristi Kuusk for her second STARS residence period with her project MagicLining on e-textiles
In the Magic Lining project Kristi works with the MagicShoes team trying to alter people’s self-perception from the INSIDE of the garment they wear. She will present the project next week at Centre Pompidou Paris! You can see the video of our collaboration process here . MagicLining is part of the Vertigo Starts Residencies program.

Patricia Rick, PhD student at Universidad Loyola Andalucía, has been awarded a SEPEX scholarship to help running and disseminating her studies in the context of MAGICSHOES
The title of the awarded project is: Psychological Factors Involved in Participation in Physical Activity in Physically Inactive Population and Contemplation of Technological Support in its Treatment.

Very excited to see the fantastic FRINGE FIRST WINNER 2017 theatre piece, “The Shape of Pain”, Developed by Rachel Bagshaw and Chris Thorpe, at the China Plate Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre.

This 4 day event includes a full day of FREE conferences from 8 UX professionals on 10th of November. Three of the speakers will be members of the MAGICSHOES team.
Following the conference on the 11th and 12th, we are running the two-day workshop entitled Magic! in which we will explore ideas around the topics of MAGICSHOES and the project MagicLining, a collaborative project between MAGICSHOES and artist Kristi Kruuk.
Magic! Is a rapid prototyping exploratorium on the intersection between neuroscience research on mental body-representation, human-computer interaction and real-life applications.
